While working on the Afghanistan: hidden treasures from the National Museum, Kabul I spoke to a number of Afghan Australians to hear their stories. One of these was BBC journalist Yalda Hakim. Yalda’s family emigrated to Australia from Afghanistan over thirty years ago. Her career in journalism has led her back there, where she has broken some of the most important stories to have emerged from Afghanistan since the fall of the Taliban.
